Hy! This site is pretty good. I"m using it often and it#s really helping. Exercises are top quality,but Ineed to complain a few things. Some of them should have more examples, probably by my opinion. And I have a question: How can I get my artwork set up on site ( precisly in gallery with other artists drawings? Man,sorry about my english, I"m from Croatia. I'm glad to hear you like the tutorials and that they are helping you out. What tutorials need more examples, may I ask?

As for sending in artwork, you'll have to send me an attachment of your artwork or if you have it up at a site like deviantart or an image hosting site, then send me a link. You have to scan your artwork or send me a digital picture of it. Either will work. If you don't have access to either of those two equipment, you can send me a digital artwork you have drawn directly on a program like MS Paint, GIMP, Photoshop or other graphic software program. your site is great, i've been practicing and gotten better. do you have any other tips on drawing the shape of the head and the hair? i've been trying but it always turns out really weird and disgusting. could you add more tips on girls hair, thx.

The only tip that come to mind at the moment is that there are two types of hair you can draw. There are the symmetrical hair and there is the asymmetrical hair. For example, there are people with hair purposely cut or styled in a clean manner which I class as symmetrical and then you get the people whose hair unbalanced, thus asymmetrical. For those with symmetrical hair, all you have to do is make sure one side matches the other side. Asymmetrical, you don't have to follow any set pattern so you can do what you want. Take a look at this image and try to see which ones have symmetrical and which ones do not.

Now look at your own drawings and ask yourself what style you were going with in your own drawing. Once you figure that out, follow through on drawing the same on both sides of the hair or drawing randomly for asymmetrical hair styles.

My daughter has been trying to join the Oekaki Board, but we've realized that because of the email controls she has on her email account, she hasn't been able to receive the message that enables her to begin her account. Can you email the information to me for her? Or, send me the email address from which you will be sending the message so that I can enable it as a permitted sender, and then resend the message with her account information? Her email is: yuk------@-----.com, and her username for the oekaki board is Yuk----------. Thanks for your help.

When I checked your daughters account, I received a message stating that the account did not exist. I signed your daughter up with the name "Yu******" and with the email: yuk******@*****.com. I already validated her account so she should be able to log in right now. The password I set for her is "welcome" without the quotes.

I would like to request that you add something for instruments. I'm writing a story and one of the main characters plays a bass. However, I haven't any idea how to draw something like that and I haven't been able to find anything to help me. So I'd appreciate it if you could add a small section or send me a URL to a sight where I could find info on this. Even if you could just give me some tips on how to approach this, it would be appreciated greatly. Thanks.

The best advice I can give you is to approach the instrument as first drawing it in a general shape. A bass is overall an oval shape. From there you can work on the details; add the swirls, the strings, and so on. Find some photo references for you to make sure you draw the bass correctly. As for a link to a tutorial, I have not come across an instrument tutorial so I cannot direct you to one.

Anyways, I'll keep your suggestion for an instrument tutorial in mind. I'm currently making a CG tutorial so it might be awhile before I get to it.

Which part of the site are you trying to register to? The forum or the Oekaki?

Seems like a couple of them were the same question... and they were not the last. I think I should add a tutorial specifically for submitting artwork to the site. <_<;

Also, there are a lot of people asking about not being able to draw a body part or this or that correctly. Start simple everyone! Draw the basic shape of whatever it is you're drawing and go from there. For example, the hand is in simple shapes comprised of cylinders (fingers) and a square (palm). Don't be afraid to look at references if you don't know how to draw something at a certain angle or position. Go look in the mirror is you have to and pose it out yourself or use figurines. Go look through books, magazines, or whatever you have on hand. Beyond that, it's just practice. Keep at it and you'll do fine!
