As my annoying perspective teacher would say, your vanishing point for your perspective isn't very clear, not are the shapes extreme enough to really make it very obvious. But that silly goose aside, I really like her design. Since I finally got some art software I gotta learn to color and lineart this well! *determination*

Gogogo! On the perspective thing, I pretty much understand what you're talking about but after realizing it's actually pointless to rely on perspective on anything unless you have the drawing skill and mental concentration to pull it off, which I don't have...I mostly draw by intuition and as proof, I don't use perspective lines and vanishing points. Plus, it's difficult to use perspective guides in structures that are not perpendicular in edges...like for example, the dangling legs in the picture, or the trunk of the tree cannot surely be told to be perpendicular to the ground making it impossible to say that it will follor the guides to exact and so I tend to drop the idea and just what I think it would look like based on imagination.

I was trying to do something that actually has semblance to anime/manga (meaning that I was just drawing things intended to be so instead of trying to make things correct in terms of realistic standards)

I like the cape.

It's a poncho kind of thing well, got that idea from those shoulder cape things usually in anime military uniforms, whatever that is anyway >_>

Marisa Kirisame (Touhou: ZUN) except I was high on coffee so I thought maybe I should try something ridiculous
actually this was initially a doodle i did in open canvas while i was doodling with a friend and the theme was set to wild west...so I drew a cowgirl leaping over the fence...and then I decided I should clean the sketch in SAI and while I was doing the hair part, I placed a random braid there
Then I decided I should template it to Marisa...it was fun trying to retain Marisa's dress elements in the piece xD

Love how clean your lines always end up, also the combination of subtle details with the simplicity. Awesome as usual.
Although it's something about the way the mouths are drawn that doesn't quite hit my art bone.

I absolutely adore them boots. @_@ I literally can't stop looking at them. xD

Well if it's something about how the mouth is drawn in style I can change that howeve if it's just the expression with regards to the pose, I cant because the character was meant to be that retarded >__>
Generally I want them mouths to be simple, kinda hard to draw detailed mouths swallowing something if you know what I mean Dx

Aye, I enjoyed doing them boots really because I was trying to retain the figure of a school shoes with the strap and socks into one thing.

-It feels nice that no one else (based on extensive searching) has done something as radical as this with regards to touhou characters...images of Marisa in her usual costume are very common and kinda sickening if you think about it...xD
-I'm thinking of doing some more touhou characters in reinvented costumes xDDD, it's kinda fun trying to retain dress elements to some degree.
