For the puffed sleeve, if you're curving it to fit the shoulder, don't. Instead, well, make it puffy. From my experiences, puffs don't follow any line of actuality. Its more of its own curves.

Yeah Thanks, I get what you're talking about, I was trying to follow the shoulders and it always looked weird so I guess this was the reason...

This was my first paid commission, I don't like the feeling of doing commission because I feel that my stuff are not worth the pay >......< So I'll probably never going to post there until I've gained enough confidence and stability in my work.
Also, it has been bothering me for awhile now, what have you to do with the hamachi program? Pure coincidence or are you a spy perhaps o_0

Commission: $4 [Caricature, Male, Solo, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Dual Swords, Swordplay, Colored with Environment]
-was able to finish this given the said requirements although it was late for almost half a year, I had to do some major restyling and development so I could be able to draw decent male characters in motion...although I still feel that it's incomplete, I feel that even if I pushed myself further I wouldn't be able to make anything work out of it.
-this was really ambitious >....>
-I wasn't confident enough with doing cg with motion lines so I dropped that idea
-Also because I hit 80 layers, it was not possible for me to add some mobs blended in the background
-the slashes are purely experimental, I was planning to do a cell shade hybrid but my lack of experience in coloring in such a form made it backfire
-I'm pretty much content with how I dealt with the coloring of the character though. I think I have found a stable and feasible method for coloring to produce a nice blend of hard and soft shade, tell me what you think about it ^^

It seems to me that you can make good contrast with shading in clothing, but skin shading is really weak. Try adding more value to it.

As Fox said, the skin could nedd some more value to it. The clothes look very good and the pose is awesome xD

If I had any money at all, I'd pay for your stuff, especially if you did a manga. But I know how you feel on selling your stuff. No matter how good I do on a picture, I never think it's of selling quality.

And I still find myself at a loss for critiques. I just can't do it at my level. All I can do is admire the art.

-Blargh
-I finally finished this one
-Stats: 30+hours, 105 layers
-I experimented lots on this and was able to formulate some coloring rules for myself to follow
-Though I still suck at choosing colors, I'll stick to the non-reflective environments for a while until I stabilized my coloring style
-Then I might proceed to doing more intrusive environment detail like the one above with the dust storm so I'll be postponing doing the Teostra fanart because I don't know how to do a volcano's interior xD
