Umm.. what progam do you usse to make your manga ?

Just wanted to no what you guys use to make your manga are there any good free programs like manga studios

I don't know if there are any good free programs to make manga... but I use Macromedia Flash MX to make my manga and picture. Not ideal for those jobs, I know, but it's what I have... But I really love Flash crisp and clean line art, even better than Photoshop. I heard that SAI also very good at making line art.

You could use Photoshop to make manga, but it's not free. While Photoshop Elements, is bundled with tablets, so I guess it's a free program?

I used to use MS Paint, but then I finally learned how to use Photoshop :3

Um if you can get a program called comiclife (I think that's what it's called), you can scan your drawings onto the computer and then put the pictures into this program. You can basically manipulate the panels to how you want it to look and then you can put in speech bubbles and stuff.

No problem. I meant I dont use a program though (could you tell?). I do mean to get Manga Studio. And if I could get GIMP to work I'd use that too

In which case you'd say you use traditional means.

And whilst Gimp could work, for some reason I can't really imagine that being used to create decent manga. Strange huh, since it's basically photoshop with a hard to understand GUI.

Anyways, I prefer traditional means, I feel more in control when I can touch the medium I'm working with. The digital version lacks the magical feeling.

Aye. I totally agree with you. As it is, GIMP is free, but I cant get it to work. Photoshop is expensive, and I probably could get it to work ... Anyway, I would always draw by traditional means, but It's be nice to touch some stuff up with any of the aforementioned programs.

It start to load fonts, then freezes. I cant even get it to open

If you have a lot of fonts and haven't used it before, GIMP can take a while to index your fonts - longer if the computer is slower. If you let it hang for a while, it might finish that step... otherwise, the next step in troubleshooting is probably to reinstall.

Maybe, but it says GIMP isnt responding.
