I need thougho info about wood nymphs for a story I'm trying to write. I've searched the internet, but I can't ever seem to find what I'm looking for. If you know any good websites with plenty of knowledge about wood nymphs, or any good info you have on you, I would really apreciate it :) . And I'll be posting the prologue sometime. Hopefully soon :)

Wikipedia. Also, I think you've made something up. Nymph's are lake dwellers. You mean Dryads. Maybe.

I don't know much about them, but I know that they usually stick to Oak Trees, and they consider that home tree as their "mother". Also if the mother tree dies all the Wood Nymphs attached to that tree die as well. They vary in appearance, you can make that up yourself.

I'll check the internet for more info, and post if I find anything. Hope this helped, and can't wait for your story. C:

EDIT: You may wanna check out Hamadryad too.

Thanks! Would you know if they can wonder from their tree?

I'm fairly sure dryads can, but I don't know anything about hamadryads so I can't say.

Edit: I've read a bit more, and learned that they are semi-translucent. They also are non-gendered and apparently have no eyes. I'm not sure if that is true but I thought I should throw it in there anyways.

2ND EDIT: They only appear when they want to, usually to nature lovers or people who respect Mother Earth. I've read that they can't move more than 300 yards from their tree or they will become ill and die, but again all of this info is inconclusive.

Interesting... Though my dryads are going to have eyes. Haha. And they are pretty much going to look like humans with a tan and pointed ears. Thanks for the info :) Its already helping out :)

No problem.

I've read some MOAR, (lawl -nerd-) from the DnD archive and it says that they are human except with pointed ears and that their hair colour changes with the seasons.

So what are the colors for each season? I know winter would be white.

Well I guess I could always make that part up. I have one more question right now. What sort of healing do dryads have? I'm looking it up right now, but can't find it. I might just end up making up that part too.

I think I just found everything I need to know about dryads. Thanks a ton! After reading that, it cleared the confusing part of my story that I was having trouble with :D

I actually have made my own creation. I just needed some history to give me more detailed ideas about the dryads :)

No problem any time C:

Post that story up; I'm intrigued after reading about Dryads so much how you interpret them.
