I want to create the plot of a story first even though I don't intend to draw it yet, that is fine, right? This story doesn't have a name yet but this is the general plot.

The main characters' name is Mizuki. Mizuki is born into the world of Namu where about 40% of the population has psychic powers. The world Namu is the third planet this race has moved too because of overpopulation or dying planets. Mizuki has very long hair because of a promise he made to his friend.(His friend's favorite super hero had long hair). Most people with psychic powers discover them at an early age. He discovered his powers during a game of War when he pointed his finger at a friend and shouted "BANG", thus killing his friend.

This is about so far I have gotten. I guess this would sum up chapters 1&2 I guess.
I am thinking of naming the series "BANG" or "BOOM". I also need to think of a name for the certain people with powers.

the story is good so far, well for his background at the very least. Its still pretty vague so I can't comment alot about it.

For the name.. Just be careful with "Bang"... cause there are sexual slangs about it lol.

okay, time to add more to this story. the reason so many people on the planet of namu have psychic powers is because on the old planet the international government discovered while excavating artifacts of this special mineral that gives powers. over the years scientists have extracted it and passed it off has "pregnancy medicine" for women who have those pains during medicine. the people of namu are secretly test subjects

I like the first bit and how the character grows his hair long in honor of his friend whom he killed, that's kind of touching. I like the psychic powers thing too. With the sexual slang behind "bang" I think it would be cool to have that as your title but I don't think he should say it all the time when he uses his power. Just having him make the action of shooting somebody with his hand would suffice I think. Really if people are looking for sexual inuendo in your work they're going to find it, no matter what and there's not a whole lot you can do about it :T

My qualm with this ^ is even if the experiments started on the "old planet" wouldn't people notice that they were suddenly getting mental powers? Even on namu wouldn't they look back at history and say, "Hey, (some odd years ago) nobody had psychic powers and now roughly half the population has them. Why is that?" I'm sure they would suspect something.

Because of the wars and so much strife around the few remaining years of the first planet most of the people's history had been burnt away. Once the people went to the Second planet[unnamed so far] they decided to go back and search for what was left and then they found the special mineral. I think I got the main plot so far Just needs a little.. push?

but now you talked about the past thing, but what will happen to Mizuki. Will he/she tries to discover why he has such destructive power, will he/she trues to stop criminals and or aliens trying to invade their planet or something else?

yeah that's what I'm trying to figure out. plot less story[POKEMON] for the win .

What I'm trying to figure out is why the main character has a Japanese name. I mean, it's a world different from ours; you should try to be more creative with the names and try to find one that has more impact.

Also I kind of agree on the name thing. I'm not a fan of using Japanese names when the story isn't even set in Japan.

I just gave him any random name because I had no idea what to name him. I thought for 3 days and at some point gave up xD
