This was going much better than Makoto'd planned.
And she was okay with that, no doubt about it.

Focusing on the skeleton, her eyes glimmered with a sick satisfaction.
You're hardly even sentient, but keep this in mind...
Attack and Damages
1d20+6=26
1d6=2

This is what it feels like to die, surrounded by enemies.
Your kind made our friends feel this hopelessness.

She felt a crunch, a little less satisfying then she would have liked.
How does it feel?

Mathias whipped out a simple magic missile to finish the skeleton off before it could hand a hit on anyone else.
Spoiler! :
Magic Missiles
4d4+4=15

The magical force darted into the skeletal frame, collapsing it.

"We should get moving before Veldan's stoneskin runs out" he explained, closing his spellbook. "I have to say my abilities are limited. I'll need to count on you guys when my offensive spells run out"

"Hrm..." Saiza picked up his light mace, and looked around, as if expecting an answer to appear out of thin air. "God dammit. I hope all the noise we made won't draw uninvited guests."

Mathias casts Breath of the Dragon. (Cone of Fire. 4 charges. Once every 1d4 rounds. 3d8 Damage. 7 minutes) This was his first time casting the spell, and it felt unnervingly unpleasant, feeling the very elemental energies gathered within himself rather shooting out of his fingertips.

"Ugh." He grounded, coughing out a bit of smoke. "Let's go check each of the room?"

Mathias went to the nearest door and opened it. (the first room in the row)

Not accounting for the dust, cobwebs, and other signs of centuries of disrepair and disuse, it looked exactly like you would expect a servant's quarters to look. Nothing special, out of the ordinary, or interesting.
Yaay?

"Well, that was expected." He rubbed his head and turned his attention to the larger door to his right, went to it and pushed it open. (Castelian's Quarters)

Second verse: same as the first. Nothing out of the ordinary, and just about anything of value seemingly looted decades or centuries ago.

Mathias frowned at the non-activity of his friends. He didn't feel particularly comfortable, walking around in the lead, opening doors. He was by the the most fragile of the party, after all.

"Should we just go further down the hallway? Or let Saiza and Makoto scout, as usual?"

"Well, the library is supposed to be in a tower, right? Maybe we should just head to the nearest tower we can get up and start looking there. We could try going through the Great Hall..."

Saiza stood where he was and concentrated, trying to hear if there were more undead nearby.

"Then we should hurry. As soon as we get the book, I can teleport us out of the castle."

"Or, on second thought. We could try and find a safe enough location to rest up. I do need to fix my spells, of sorts. But it's not an urgent thing" Mathias belched the words slowly and nervously.

Saiza could not hear any more undead.

Then again, these were reinforced stone walls designed to withstand besieging armies and all sorts of crazy shit.

Saiza slunk up to the door to the Grand Hall, and pressed his ear against it.

Saiza could hear the creaking bones of several idling skeletons, but he could not tell how many beyond the fact it was a plurality.

Mathias casts Shield Bearer on the +1 Tower Shield strapped to his back. The shield slowly but steadily unstrapped itself, and started into a constant circle around Mathias, finally resting, floating actually, in front of him in the direction of the door. (Mathias AC to 21. 12 Touch. 19 Flat-footed)

"Can't be standing here forever" Mathias broke out and abruptly opened the door, eager to throw out his temporarily acquired breath weapon.

The Grand Hall was in somewhat better condition than the other rooms you'd been in so far. The doors leading to the throne room and the stairways were all heavy reinforced wood, metal, and stone and looked like they were designed to withstand a siege.

Probably because they were.

Two skeletons in identical gear to those you had just destroyed were stationed on either end of each pair of double-doors in the room.

INITIATIVE
Mathias
Saiza 14
Ulow 10
Makoto 8
Skeletons 7
Veldan 4
You guys get a surprise round! Yaaay! Mathias goes first, I rule, automatically, because he opened the door.
For what it is worth, the door on Saiza's side is unopened. Move action to open, IIRC. Double-check Hypertext.
Skeletons don't get their turn until next round, despite their initiative.
