I believe we used to have one of these, but I have no idea what happened to it. I see that Minecraft has become a total hit among MT members so I wanted to start a thread about Indie Games (ie. the games that will never disappoint you because they're mostly free). I'd have to say I have more faith in indie games than any single commercial company as indie devs are not limited by public opinion or sales quotas. They just make games they want to make. This, in turn, churns out some of the most innovative and refreshing games I've seen.

Ah. Yeah, the Grow puzzle games are awesome.

Why isn't Mount and Blade on there? It's a great game, and was basically indie until Valve snapped it up.

By far my favorite indie game developer.

Mondo Medical scared the shit out of me, then it frustrated me. Then I liked it.

All his games are so trippy, and I know quite a few people who hate them just for that reason :\

Spelunky is pretty much the best platformer ever.

The best indie game would be if the developers combined Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress. And I love Clean Asia by Cactus Squid.
