Halo reach

I wonder why they call some of the games Halo still even though the name came about because the rings were named Halo.
So basically the only ones that count are 1 2 and 3. While Halo Wars, and Halo ODST, and Reach have no rings...so why name them a Halo game?

Oh well, I'm sure this goes for a bunch of other games too, whatever lol.

Halo because it's still happens in Halo (game) universe. Wars because it's more about wars rather than the action itself. OSDT because it tells the story about OSDT. Reach because the game happened in Reach. Simple.

Man, why couldn't they of just stuck to the main thing instead of explaining more of the story with a bunch of other games?
It's not like anybody pays attention to anything other than BOOM, NO SCoPED!!

IMO, if they screws up the main game (where there's Master Chief in it, meaning it have the canon, major plot), Halo name will gone bad. But if it's "side" game, they could throw some excuse without ruining Halo's image.

Aaaand, it's not easy to make new plot. It's far easier to "develop" plot from those already exist.

Wait this is the only thing you wonder? Not the fact that reach is suppose to be the prequel to halo combat evolved, but it had weapons and equipment that was never in halo 1...
