PS all the way! I've tried other programs but I find missing features or find other inconveniences that is done better in PS that I just keep going back to it like a bad drug.

I use Open Canvas, however it is very prone to glitches and sometimes crashes. *sighs* But I'm used to it so I can't live without it xD I use photoshop for final editing : ) I've beeing playing around with paint tool Sai, but I'm still not used to it.

I loved Mangastudios when I had it. It's just great for doing line art which I've been told PS has some problems with if that's all your doing (Somthing about line smoothness or the end of you line allways being rounded out I duno). So MS is what I like but it's limited really to only sketching and doing line art as well as screentones but not coloring or regular sketching like in PS.

I've allso heard some good things about ArtRage I think it was called. The work done in that program just looks so amazing. I've only seen realism done in it before so I duno how everyone would use it. They say that art rage is like the most organic fealing of all drawing programs.

I loved Painter, but my trial died. I want to buy it, because I really like the tools and interface for painting. Cell-shading, not so much, though.

If you use lineart, you really have to tray Sai. Their pen tool is the best that I've ever used. Absolutely incomparable compared to photoshop. ^^ Super smooth and fine.

I tried to use Sai, but I failed. I had Paint.net at one point in time, but eventually I moved to Photoshop and Illustrator CS4. In combination, both work very well. I just hate inking in Illustrator is all. It's so boring and tedious. :P
