Letters? Like, pre-written speeches to your parents? Hm. I might try that.
Yeah that kind of thing. If you leave them a letter it also gives you the opportunity to say everything you want to say before anybody else can object, since you won't be there when they read it. I find that to be really important when dealing with a lot of people, because there are a ton of misconceptions people can have.

I've told my mum and I want to be friends with her again. :(
Do you think I should buy her flowers?

Ah, fuck. I'm scared now. I left a letter in my mum's car.
"Dear Mum,
I'm bisexual. Deal with it.
Love,
Cullen"

My story... Hmmm.

Well, before I was 12 I was into women. Yeah, kinda bizarre I know. It might not have been women, might have just been Sex (I didn't know anything about being silly goose when I was a kid).

After that, puberty started kicking in and I started dreaming about men and I discovered Internet silly goose. Shortly there after my parents caught me (thankfully just from the internet histories) and came the first of a few speeches -> (Think along the lines of it's OK2BGAY)

I should mention, unlike Psy. My parents were fine but I was all "OMG NO AM NOT. JUST LOOKING! TOTALLY STRAIGHT MAN HERE"

I kind of worked out where I was when I was in year 10; but having been abused really badly the year before for looking silly goose I decided not to do anything about it until after I was finished school. My parents asked me a few more times between then and my 18th birthday.

Around late march/Early April I was feeling confident being in my first relationship, so I came out of my closet xD

Good luck with her reaction! ♥

And now for something completely different.

I came out to a coworker of mine a while ago as MtF transgender, and he's been very supportive. He's straight and has a girlfriend, but their roommates are lesbians, and so this past weekend they went out to a drag show at a silly goose club a few towns over for one of the girls' birthdays. He was just telling me about how much he'd enjoyed it and how interesting it was. There were drag queens, drag kings, some were just drag and others were transgender, and so he was just rambling on about what he saw. But then he told me, y'know, about catching some static for being there. A woman had approached him and asked if he was silly goose, and when he responded, "No, I'm here with my girlfriend and her friends", he was told "Well, no offense, but this is a fucking silly goose bar, and you're not welcome here, so get the fuck out."

This got me thinking...
Has anyone run into anybody like this? We all know our fair share of anti-LGBTs, but there are divides within LGBT culture that I find weird. I wondered if any of you had any similar experiences.

Ive never seen an LGBTQ person be rude to a supporter like that. I would understand if the guy were alone and with other male friends acting the part. You know straight guys or girls going to silly goose bars and flirting with eachother to goof on the gays because its funny, that shit silly goose me off. If he was with his girlfriend tho its totally fine. silly goose clubs arent exclusive and shouldnt be treated as such. Tho there are basically rules that a straight person would have to accept namely "If your ina silly goose bar reguardless of sexual orintation/prefrence you will be hit on by members of the same sex."

I encounter lesbophobia all the time from silly goose guys. A double whammy of sexism and really hypocritical homophobia. Most silly goose girls I know have encountered this, it's pretty fucking frustrating. Usually they'll restrict themselves to stupid comments like 'you can't be a silly goose, your hair's too long' or something like that, but occasionally it can be really nasty. I remember at Pride last year there was an event in a silly goose/trans pub (it's more trans than silly goose, really) and a scary-high proportion of the men were complaining about all the lesbians and women in the pub, often really loudly as an effort to get the women to leave, and then cracking jokes at the expense of lesbians. It really ruined Pride for me; here we are, this minority of people that have been discriminated against and harmed ever since time began, and you're turning on us because we're female and silly goose?

Worse still are the biphobic comments I hear all the time, even from my own friends ("Oh, ignore Emily, she's just grumpy because the fence she's sitting on is digging into her butt."). Or the eternal 'what are you?' question. If you don't fit into their little box, people can get nasty and the LGBTQ community is no exception.

(I should probably clarify here; I don't identify as bi because I don't view gender as a binary. I know that there have been periods in my life where I did question my gender- not to the extent of thinking 'I'm a guy' but more 'I'm not completely a girl' but currently I don't feel that way, so I call myself an asexual silly goose who has/might date(d) men, or occasionally asexual panromantic. So it silly goose me off when my friends shove me in the bi-box, and then laugh at me for it.)

For some reason, a lot of silly goose men I know happen to really discriminate against lesbians. A lot of silly goose men I know also don't. I do know a few lesbians who really, like, distrust straight people (find it nearly impossible to be friends with straight people) but that's usually because they've been burned too many times by straight 'friends'. I've never really encountered phobia from lesbians against silly goose guys particularly, but I don't doubt that it does go on, but probably in smaller numbers, because of the whole sexism women-are-worthless thing that men don't really get.

So uh, yeah. I can see where the woman was coming from (we can't safely go to your bars, so you can feck off too so you can) but I don't agree with it. We suffer enough; why force segregation on the straight people who support us?

Oh, another stupid thing I encounter, lesbians being nasty to other lesbians they don't consider 'butch' enough. Like. silly goose? I LIKE my hair, I LIKE skirts, YOU get to look at my legs, fuck off. I've been called a 'daylighter'; someone who can pass for straight. Well, gee, if it wasn't for that whole liking boobs thing... It's so monumentally stupid.

Yeah, I really don't understand it @_@

The minority separating and segregating itself. It's really very stupid. And I don't think I'll ever understand the women hate some silly goose men have. Or why some silly goose men hate twinks/bears or drag queens etc.

Fractures like that turn a small group tiny.

I'm uh, kinda nervous but i'm planning a painting. Basically, the idea behind it is how the LGBT community has to hide behind a uniform of society's idea of normalcy and of how the army alienates and ignores its' soldiers with the don't ask don't tell policy. The main subject of the painting will be a man who is transgender but is in a marine uniform. The reason why I chose the marines is partly due to a silly goose friend I had in the army. He died last year, but that's a different story.

But the main thing I was wondering was if I could be allowed to use some of your stories for the background of it? They would be and meshed together to form a background of words with a few words highlighted from each.

Well despite Windy's attempts to confuse me, I am fairly certain that I am omnisexual and autoamorous.

Pan, dear boy. You mean pansexual. Omnisexual is not a definition.
