If you use lineart, you really have to tray Sai. Their pen tool is the best that I've ever used. Absolutely incomparable compared to photoshop. ^^ Super smooth and fine.

I tried to use Sai, but I failed. I had Paint.net at one point in time, but eventually I moved to Photoshop and Illustrator CS4. In combination, both work very well. I just hate inking in Illustrator is all. It's so boring and tedious. :P

if your lines are vector shapes, then you can resize your image to be as big as the Empire State Building without loss of line quality, though! XD

I used CS4 for the first time two weeks ago, Friday. I wasn't impressed. D: I have Photoshop 7, and I am just kinda weirded out about how little the interface and features have changed.

Did you have openGL on??

Most of the improvements were made to the 3D interface of the program :C

Yeah, I checked that out. Other then that, meeeeh. If I wanted some 3D stuff, I would actually get a different program with more specialized features. As we all know, the Photoshop 3D stuff is still in development.

Muhahahahaha >8D, Sai is the ultimate sketching program <3 Makes people think my crooked lines are smooth*-*

Pressure sensitivity application in sai is per tool, you have to check which aspects of the tool are affected by pressure sensitivity (this can be found on the specifics menu for the tool under advanced preferences, then go to help/config>options>tablet, there you adjust click detection pressure (pressure sensitivity of you tablet in general) and also assign the pen keys specifically for Sai.

I never feel satisfied with my lineart if I make it with Photoshop... even an old Flash MX could make better lineart (which I currently use). Perhaps I will find SAI, since lots of people talk about how good it is in making lineart...

Sai is my favorite for the same reason as Obitual Crow's. Well, not quite. It's probably just because I can do sketches and make them look cool. I hate Photoshop because it takes a second for it to catch up to my tablet. Well, CS5 does. Before I upgraded, CS3 and CS4 worked perfect. I'm thinking of downgrading. I only use Photoshop when I wanna do really cool stuff that Sai can't. Like text.

Manga Studio was cool, but I hated the trouble of zooming in and zooming out without having my tablet synced right. Doesn't help that I never found the manual.
