So I was randomly lent a copy of InuYasha by a friend... I have only read the first couple pages... It's my first manga.

Could I get some opinions on it [InuYasha] or any other manga I should read as a total n00b to this whole world? lol.

Please, guys, no spoilers, though. :P :)

Thanks!! :D

Ranma 1/2 was awesome, so it blows my mind that the same author made inuyasha.

InuYasha IMO was a little overrated, the first 20 books or so were great but then it started to drag on a bit.
I will recommend bleah along with everyone else, it's just awesome. I also liked black cat by kentaro yabuki a LOT, I thought it was one of the best series I've ever read, one of the lesser known ones though. Check it out, see what you think :D

I'm pretty sure that the manga got repetitive after they killed the first dude or whatever.

Oh yeah, to answer OP's question, I have no idea. But you should read Cromartie High School anyway.

I didn't say unknown, I said lesser known. Like the mangas you hear about everywhere are naruto and inuyasha and maybe bleach, that you'll run into even if you're not into manga. Black cat not so much. (though it deserves it.)

It's a little complicated. In simplest form it's about an assassin whose best friend is killed by his old partner, so he quits the organization he works for and stops killing. Then his partner starts building an alliance to defeat the organization and they try to hunt down the former assassin to help stop him, but because of his pledge not to kill his objectives aren't the same as the organizations, but he tries to stop the evil guy anyway, and it turns into a big epic battle, etc. etc. etc.
What I like is that it's not all violence though, the are some really touching moments. :)
