Soooo I'm pretty sure that manga don't usually have prologues (since I haven't seen one before...) but I didn't know how else to describe this like pre-chapter. SO, if manga didn't have prologues before, they do now

What this chapter is will be explained in the next one (if I ever get around to drawing it ), so bare with me =). It's the first chapter I've ever drawn, so please C&C, and I thank anyone who reads it whether they comment or not right now for their time! Remember, giving a helpful critique=awesomest person ever

The series is called Roleplay. It's mainly a shonen manga.

You've certainly done a good job of making it dramatic; The panneling, pacing and the sound effects really do work well. The character art is generally reasonable and the backgrounds are nicely detailed considering it's just trees...

Not really sure if it will be explained later, but the second and last pages really make no sence to me at this point, through.

A second point I'd like to pick up is that I have no bloody clue where you are going with this. Obviously the girl will be some kind of heroine when she's grown up after the prologue, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot happening here that shows off what the rest of the comic is going to be like, if you know what I mean. :o

In conclusion, it looks like it could be kinda promising, but could really do with some kind of "hook" at this point to let people know what they are even reading... What genre is it gonna be, for starters?... >_>

You're right! I'll edit the genre into the first post =)

The second and last page are supposed to be with someone calling for Tyra (the girl), so the hooded figure sort of backs off. Before the people calling for her can come up the hill, the smoke where she is hiding gets too much, and she feints. However, as she feints, the figure disappears. This will be sort of explained in the next chapter, but I think I should have made it more clear in this chapter =/.

A hook... darn I really spaced it on that one. I have a pretty major hook planned for the next chapter, but I guess it doesn't matter if readers never get to it. I said before I started this that I would sort of just keep on going instead of going back and fixing everything (unless it's something really bad lol ), since I'd be doing that for forever. SO, I'll try to really bring the hook in and explain everything more clearly in the next chapter.

Well, no need to go overboard or anything, lol...

A cover page or something would probally help a great deal in telling us what we are looking at...

Yea, I've been having some cover page ideas floating around in my head. I'll have to put the next chapter on hold though, since I'm supposed to make a one-shot manga for school for this "Personal Project" thing.

Good artowrk, though I found your panneling confusing. I couldn't tell if the manga was suppose to be read Right > Left, or Left > Right.

All I can say is that, your've got my interest....I would like to see more....and then perhaps I could give a better comment....
