I hate when I take too long on the draft pages and they end up being penciled versions of the finals.

And then I never do finals.

Sometimes I feel like yelling THIS IS MATT and inking my entire manga in one stroke.

But since I'm not Chuck Norris, that's impossible.

inking is the easy part u just gotta trace what u already drew

Bull. Shit.

Heaven isn't even inked.

Or is it?

I hate when you're inking, and a giant glob of ink just falls on your perfect page.

Or when you knock your ink over like an idiot (me) and get it all over your light box, lamps, pens, pencils, erasers, and clothes.

This is why I use an Ink Pen, not a dip-pen.

I use some technical pens, like for the stuff I've posted here (uh...one picture...crap, I need to work on that.) But I like the smell of the India Ink (am I doing something illegal?) And the I like the feel of it sliding over the paper, and I like to watch it dry, I like to practice changing the thickness of the stokes, and I should stop now, shouldn't I? Perhaps let my boyfriend know I'm cheating on him with my Ink...don't ask how that's working out.

I get really wobbly lines with dip pens, but it probably would be better to use one for inking.

I was wobbly at first, too, but I got more steady (is it "more steady" or "steadier?")

What kind of paper do you use? That makes a difference, too. I use animation paper, which is slick (but expensive. Hence why I've been using cheap paper and technical pens lately.)

Oh God, I do, too! That shit is awesome! You can paint on it (acrylics,) color, draw, whatever! I'm glad there's a fellow Bristol lover in the forum. I feel stupid, cause I was just introduced to it not too long ago.

This is the second time I've heard of Bristol, but I'll have to check it out now.

(It's "steadier.")

Well, I hardly use it, as I don't want to waste it... I bought it to use tone on, and I still haven't. I really should give it a try.

Matt: GOOGLE IT! GOOGLE IT NOW!!
