 For the 3-colour pallete contest:) Colours used: Black, dark blue, and reddish-orange-coralish-whatever-it-is.

Click on it please:) It looks horridly blurred as a thumbnail>.>

Sorry I haven't been drawing here in months; my pc has been glitchy for a while. Last time I tried drawing here, Mozilla crashed and I lost an almost complete picture>.> Since then I've been using a netbook, but it doesn't support my tablet. So I haven't been drawing digitally in a looong while, here or anywhere:( My pc seems to be working alright, now, though. Maybe all it needed was a break...

 All done! Sorry for bump, woops x.x

All the speedpainting I've been doing seems to reflect in my normal paintings xD This theme is AWESOME. I hope all the blending lets this still count as 3 colours >.> One layer as with all my other paintings ;D

I used light yellow, turquoise and a saturated purple but I did use some white for highlights though >.>

All in all quite proud of this one, my painting skills have come a long way smiley

 I thought long and hard for this contest.
I couldn't think of anything so I decided, why not do nature. C:
The colours I used are Blue, Green and I think its a shade of brownish-red.
I hope I didn't use extra colours >.<

 In this case, changing the opacity gives her extra colors to work with. So instead of just blue, pink, and green, she now has purple, red, and a little bit of brown as well. The picture is amazing, but the challenge was to create something a with a very limited palette. Changing the opacity on certain layers gave her a bigger palette, removing the challenge.

 yeah, i agree with d-t-a. even if you do think her drawing should be disqualified because she changed the opacity, i don't think it's really "cheating." you never really said that people couldn't do that.

 Contest time, everybody!

This time around, your challenge is to create something amazing with a limited palette. You can use a maximum of three different base colors. Shading is fine, and so is lineart, but I don't want to see too much black and white.

Entries will be judged based on creativity and amount of detail - anyone can make a quick and dirty portrait with only three colors. I want to see some crazy stuff.

First place: A full-body, full-color picture with a background.

Second place: Full color picture, no background.

Third place: Sorta cleaned-up black and white sketch.

The contest will end July 3rd. As the big, bold, red text in the headliner states, all entries must be made in the Contest Room only. Any entry made in the Drawing or Doodle rooms will not be counted.

 Hamahakki: You can use black and white, just don't use a whole bunch of it. Like it should be mostly color, and a little black and white.
